The Horizon is a textile riding jacket with CE Level 1 armor at the shoulders, elbows and back. The shell is breathable, and stretch panels sit where your body bends. The neck, cuffs, arms and hem all adjust, so you can set the fit to your body instead of settling for an average one. There are dedicated spots for your phone and documents, and reflective strips help you stand out in low light. It is made for the daily commute, the city and the long way home.

CE Level 1 armor covers all three key impact zones:

  1. Shoulders: 2 protectors, CE Level 1
  2. Elbows: 2 protectors, CE Level 1
  3. Back: CE Level 1, vented and full-length

The back protector ships already fitted in the jacket. It is not an empty pocket you have to fill yourself. Every protector is removable, so you can take it out for washing or replacement.

The four adjustment points work alongside the armor rather than separately from it. Armor only protects where it sits, and a jacket you can tighten at the arms and hem keeps it in place over the joint.

  • Shell: Durable Cordura and breathable mesh, with soft shell fabric added for comfort and flexibility
  • Flex Panels: Mesh and Lycra panels for freedom of movement
  • Lining: Detachable inner lining, fixed with a secure wire-zipper attachment for easy removal
  • Zippers: YKK #8 and #5 plastic zippers with JAG rubber pullers
  • Visibility: Reflective print details and 3M Scotchlite reflective elements
  • Trims: Neoprene components, polyester Cordura black web tape and rubber straps
  • Closures: Velcro closures, plus a full-length zip with two snap buttons

The jacket is made from Cordura fabric, but it is not waterproof and not water-resistant. On wet days, wear a rain shell over it.

Take out all the armor and empty every pocket before washing. Close the zip and the snaps. Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach or dry clean the jacket. Hang it up to dry. Wipe the armor clean with a damp cloth.
